新しいカメラを購入しました。実は以前使っていたカメラのモニターが徐々に不調になっていました。
最初はモニター画面が黄色くなりました。モニターが黄色いだけで、パソコンに取り込むとファイルには問題がありませんでした。
その後、モニター自体が映らなくなりました。修理するか新しいのを購入するか迷いましたが、修理には二週間以上かかるし、新しいカメラでもレンズはそのままだから画質があまり変わらないだろうと思いました。
しかし、iPhoneをモニター代わりにしてしばらくは何とか撮影できていました。
ところが、つい先日、いつものようにiPhoneをモニターにして撮影していたところ、フォーカスがずれるようになりました。フォーカスはカメラのモニター画面をタップして設定するのですが、どうやらモニターのタッチパネルも壊れてしまったようです。
お手上げ...。しかもモデルさんがいらっしゃる時にです。撮影は途中で中断し、せっかく来ていただいたので施術だけはして、後日改めて撮影をすることにしました。遠くからお越しいただいているのに申し訳ない気持ちです。
再度、修理するか、新しいのを買うかの二択に迫られましたが（実はずっと選択を避けていました）、結局新しいのを買うことにしました。修理だとおおよその価格が分かりますが、それ以上かかることもあり、さらに二週間はカメラが手元にないことになります。二週間の休みならこれまでの動画で乗り切れますが、何ともモヤモヤする期間になりそうです。
近くの家電量販店に行き、実機を触ってからネットで購入しました。ネットの方が価格が安いからです。
I purchased a new camera. Actually the monitor of the camera I used before was gradually malfunctioning.
Initially, the monitor screen turned yellow. Although the monitor was yellow, there was no issue with the files when transferred to the computer.
Later on, the monitor itself stopped displaying. I debated between repairing it or buying a new one, but repair would take more than two weeks, and getting a new camera wouldn't significantly improve the image quality since the lens would remain the same.
Fortunately, I could use my iPhone as a substitute monitor by connecting it, and I managed to continue shooting for a while.
However, just the other day, while shooting with the iPhone as the monitor, the focus started shifting. Although I could set the focus by tapping the camera's monitor screen, it seems the touch panel of the monitor also broke.
I was at a loss... and this happened while I had a model present. I had to stop the shoot midway, but since the model had come from afar, I decided to proceed with the treatment and postponed the photography to another day. I felt sorry for the inconvenience despite the long journey.
Once again, I was faced with the dilemma of whether to repair or buy a new one (to be honest, I had been avoiding making a choice). Ultimately, I decided to purchase a new one. Repair costs were estimated, but it could end up being more expensive, and I would be without a camera for over two weeks. Although a two-week break is manageable with the videos I've already prepared, it's still a frustrating period.
I went to a nearby electronics store to try out the cameras in person before making the purchase online. The online option was more budget-friendly.
翌日カメラが届き、今日実際にカメラを使ってみました。以前のカメラと比べると四年ほど経過しているせいか色々とアップデートされているように感じます。まだ実際に撮影をしていないのでなんとも言えないですが、良さそうな感じです。
余談ですが、今度のカメラはiPhoneとの接続もアップデートされたアプリを使い、iPhone上からもタップでフォーカスを設定できるようです。これならモニター画面が壊れてもしばらくは大丈夫そうですね(その前に修理しろの話ですが)。
カメラの世界は奥が深くて以前のカメラですら全然使いこなせていませんでした。カメラ系のYouTuberの方が色々説明していたりするのですが、頭に全然入ってきません。一番最初に足つぼ動画をアップしたのはiPhoneで撮ったものだったのですが、その方が手軽で簡単だったなぁと思います。ただ、やはり一眼カメラの方が画質が暖かい感じがあるのとボケ感が良いですね。
The camera arrived the next day, and today I actually used it. Compared to the previous camera, which has been in use for about four years, it feels like various updates have been made. I haven't actually taken any videos yet, so I can't say for sure, but it seems promising.
On a side note, the new camera has an updated app for connecting with the iPhone, and it seems you can also set the focus by tapping on the iPhone screen. This should be handy if the monitor screen breaks, at least for a while (you should get it repaired, of course).
The world of cameras is deep, and even with the previous camera, I hadn't fully mastered it. There are YouTubers who explain various things about cameras, but it just doesn't stick in my head. The first reflexology video I uploaded was taken with an iPhone, and I think it was more convenient and straightforward. However, a DSLR camera does provide a warmer image quality and a better bokeh effect.
