最近、Amazonでこちらのツボ押し棒を買いました。先端部分が丸い形状です。

上の動画に出ている人はJosef Eugsterさんという若石健康法の創始者の方です。この方が上の動画のなかで先端が丸くなっているツボ押し棒を使っていてどんなものなんだろうと買ってみたのです。
結果として、ピンポイントでツボに当てるのには適しているのですが、クリームを付けて施術をするとツルツル滑って手に収まりにくいという感じでした。

As a result, while it's suitable for pinpointing pressure points, I found that when applying cream for treatment, it tends to be slippery and difficult to grip firmly in hand.
さて若石健康法ですが、自分は数十年前にカナダにいた時に若石健康法の分校のようなところで現在の足つぼのスタイルの基礎を学びました。
とてもアットホーム...というか本当に「家」のような場所でした。授業もあるのですが、自分は先生の施術の横に座らせてもらって先生の施術を眺めたりしました。また学生クリニックと言う生徒が一般のお客様に施術するという授業の一つがあり、これは一人のお客様に対して5ドル貰えたので嬉しかったです。通りを挟んで向かいのフードコートでお弁当を買って食べたりしました。
2019年に再びカナダを訪れた際、ここのフードコートにも行ってみたのですが、値段が倍以上になってました...。また、学校は無くなってしまいました。なかなか寂しいものですね...。
I learned the basics of the current style of reflexology at a branch school of RWO-SHR Reflexology when I was in Canada several decades ago.
It was a very cozy, almost like a "home" kind of place. While there were classes, I often sat beside the teacher during treatments, observing her techniques. There was also a student clinic where we practiced on regular clients; I remember being thrilled to earn $5 per session. I would then buy lunch from the food court across the street.
When I revisited Canada in 2019, I went to that same food court, but prices had more than doubled, and sadly, the school was no longer there. It's quite sad...
